Maclennan-LSE Surveyors are qualified at the institute of wood science as certified surveyors of timber treatments. Maclennan-LSE carry out full timber surveys and provide reports on defects and where necessary a full specification and program for remedial work. We specialise in the sympathetic damp proofing of historic buildings using techniques devised over the last 30 years to provide a lasting cure to the problems with damp, that are found using salt and plaster analysis, Carbide meter testing and where necessary laboratory testing of the building fabric.

Maclennan-LSE are one of the few companies that are FSA approved to give GPT underwritten guarantees for work carried out. All our staff attend regular training courses, covering our services as well as Health & Safety. The managing director is IOSH ( Institute of Safety & Health ) accredited and encourages a health and safety conscious ethos throughout the company.
The company is CHAS and Safe Contractor accredited. This is supported by in-house training, which we believe is vitally important, as the quality of our service and workmanship is the true guarantee in resolving the problem with the environment and conservation in mind. All our staff are fully employed and trained. We do not use sub - contractors for our very specialist work.

As members of the Property Care Association formerly BWPDA, we carry out our work to a strict Code of Practice and are independently inspected periodically.
